“ferrink”

I made this word up! A combination of ferric and ink. I was experimenting. I used Indian ink and ferric chloride on clay and then created aluminium saggars which I barrel fired using a variety of combustibles. I found that by using different coloured ink, diluting it with water and varying the firing temperature that I could create wax resist effects, strong ink impressions or darker ferric markings.
